Frost and Sullivan recognized ABB this week for its smart water grid leadership commending “ABB’s efforts in serving the water sector with technology solutions in the areas of automation and control, metering and utility hardware, design and engineering, and Information Communication Technologies (ICT)”.

Commenting on the win,  Gian Francesco Imperiali, head of ABB’s Water Industry Sector Initiative said:

“Water utilities no longer want to purchase individual products, but instead prefer system solutions that ensure smooth operation with maximum benefits. But a great deal of restructuring is required for systems such as automation and control, analytical tools, cyber security and cloud/data storage, in order for them to function together. With the recent investment in TaKaDu, ABB intends to support its customers through holistic solutions to their operational problems”.
